It Was Heaven That They Burned

I came across this essay by Greg Grandin in The Nation which, apparently, was commissioned as a preface to a new edition ofI, Rigoberta Menchú‘. However, the essay was excluded. It is still interesting reading for those who have read the book and, indeed, for those yet to do so.
